According to estimates made by the China Iron & Steel Association (CISA), China's daily crude steel output hit an all-time high of 2.085 million tons in the first 10 days of March, rising by 2.5% from late February.
However, the daily crude steel output from CISA's member mills dropped by 3.3% to 1.676 million tons, reflecting that Chinese major steelmakers had reduced steel production due to the falling steel prices since mid-February.
